Thousands Participate In Protests

Local Southern California activists joined thousands of protesters throughout the USA who came out on Presidents’ Day to protest against the recent declaration of a national emergency. Move On initiated these demonstrations to show opposition to diverting funds to pay for a wall along the USA’s southern border.

Throughout the country, dozens of groups, from Indivisible to local grassroots groups, supported, organized and participated in these demonstrations alongside Move On, Credo, and Win Without War. Activists held more than 270 events in 48 states.

The protests were to show we “stand with immigrant, Muslim, and Black and brown communities to stop Trump’s dangerous and illegal power grab.”
