In another positive sign for a Blue Wave in November, Democratic Challengers in 7 California Congressional Districts currently held by the GOP outraised their Republican opponents in the first quarter.  By contrast, Republican challengers did not outraise their opponents in any California districts currently held by Democrats.

Per the Cook Political Report, this is part of a larger trend across the country:  There are 58 GOP-held seats where Democrats raised the most in the first quarter.  There are only 6 Democratic-held seats where the opposite is true.

The challenge in Southern California remains the jungle primary, which may result in two Republicans running against each other in the General Election, and Democrats completely shut out.
