COUNTDOWN TO 2020 CA PRIMARY

Congrats! Districts 25, 39, 45, 48 and 49 all flipped. That’s five of the five swing districts in our region! The Orange(Red) Curtain crumbled and progressive candidates in down ticket races have been prevailing all lover as well! Even in deep red districts we didn’t win, together we’ve built powerful coalitions that can viably compete with the right wing machine for the first time.

Regardless of this, we’ll have plenty of work to do. Without question, assuming they don’t go to jail or flee the country first, odious characters like indicted Congressman Duncan Hunter in CA-50 will need to be replaced in 2020. With California’s new early primary bumped up on the schedule, we’re just a year and four months from selecting new Congressional candidates and a Presidential one too.

Next week the Swing SoCal Left countdown clock will be reset accordingly and new events will begin appearing on the calendar. Our weekly newsletter will resume.

For now though, we savor having SWUNG SOCAL LEFT.

It is the intent of the OC Women’s March Coalition to continue the tradition of holding the OC Women’s March…
